Nobuo Uematsu going freelance is great news for independent developers, as he's now up for hire. Level Up Labs is taking advantage of this by bringing the RPG musical veteran on board.

    I got Defender's Quest I this week because it's part of the current weekly Humble Bundle (https://www.humblebundle.com/weekly - ends tomorrow!). I didn't find the graphics too appealing, but someone said it's good.

    If the second part features music by Nobuo Uematsu AND artwork by the creator of Dust, then that sequel must be REALLY good!

    Dean Dodrill is an excellent choice. I approve of the change to a consistent, non-pixel art style.
