Ys: Memories of Celceta is one of the best Ys games (and Vita games) I've ever played. I also enjoyed Tales of Hearts R, Demon Gaze, and Persona 4 Golden.

I am tempted to replay both P3P and P4G prior to P5, I admit.

II remember when the Vita 2 came out, all of the Persona games went on sale for $5 each. I picked up the entire series except for P4G for like $20. That was SO rad.

I don't know your tolerance level for visual novels, but Steins;Gate is a good time travel sci-if tale. One of my favorites on Vita.

I am definitely looking for Visual Novels (and I'm happy for non-RPG suggestions too). Do you need to watch the anime before hitting the game?

Anime is pretty much a straight telling of the main/true route so nope. (Do play the first game before playing Steins;Gate 0 though)
