RPGCast - Episode 432: "The Dark Souls Of eSports"

EVE discovers new planets. FFXV gets super sentais. We all get eggs. But we don't get Ni no Kuni. At least, not yet. We probably don't get SNES minis either.

The Answer doesn't really work as a standalone game. It was never released on its own (as far as I know) and it wouldn't have worked that way, so I'm counting it.

Wasn't Legend of Legacy that Saga Frontier like game? I played a demo for it. It was terrible.

I don't know that I have an answer for the QOTW. Can't think of one right now.

Final fantasy 4 and 6 practically got me through junior high. I had started over at a new school and new town, and relied on those games for a familiar feeling.

Also can those who have played star dew valley, how high would you rate it? I personally thought it was amazing, and near game of the year material even though it's a small indie game.

Thanks for the tip about Twitch RPG streamer puwexil. I clicked the follow button for his channel.

According to my Amazon history, the last few Layton games I bought were $30 new, including the most recent games Azran Legacy and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright for the 3DS. I did not have Amazon Prime at the time.

Most physical 3DS games are $40 new these days, but there's the occasional budget-friendly $30 title, or the Nintendo Selects $20 title, or the outlier $50 (Atlus) title.

I would guess that the next Layton game will be $30 on 3DS in part because it will already be out on iOS/Android, but I have no way of knowing for certain.

I struggled to earn my driver's license and failed the driving test multiple times. On the time I succeeded, I was somewhat obsessed with Mortal Kombat II, and I felt like the character Kung Lao inspired me to face down the challenge and give it my all.

I wonder if Level 5 is going to self publish the new Layton on 3DS, because it didn't show up in Nintendo's press kit at E3 and L5 handled the mystery puzzle they were using to promote it. (And I paid $30 for DS Laytons, $40 for Miracle Mask digitally, and the base price for Azran Legacy was $45.)

Oh Chris! You should know better then to expect a digital release to be as cheap as (or cheaper than) the physical release of a game. ;)
