I don't know how I feel about that. It seems like a desperate move.

It doesn't seem desperate at all to me. They're making a kind of game they've never made before; that's what game companies do, from time to time. They must know that Diablo and PSO have pretty good followings, so why not try to cash in on that?

I'm personally interested in seeing how it turns out. Since there were no screenshots, and really no info other than the name and genre of the game, all we can really do is wait. But that's okay, we should be used to waiting for new games by now.

The ability to play on and offline raises my eyebrow, in a good way. Let the waiting... continue.

Hmm... an online/offline non-FF Square-Enix RPG... Sounds tastey in my opinion, I mean, to me it doesn't seem like a desperate move, as all they're doing is exploring a relativley new style of gaming that is a hybrid of 2 area's, one of which (I doubt anyone would disagree here) is the RPG area, which they are specialists in. In my view, you can call Ambrosia Oddysey a "desperate move" any more than something like "Vagrant Story".

It also makes it interesting IF it gets released in the UK as Ambrosia is a brand name of custard laugh.gif ***wonders how many people will get confused*** (believe me, it has happened, to quote a friend of mine on the game "Dancing Stage Euromix"... "Ha! They're sooo stupid, what the feck is a yo-romux?")
