  • Ninokuni II: Revenant Kingdom (PC). Very enjoyable game, great style and atmosphere and a charming cast of characters. I thought they'd do a bit more with the themes and plot than they did, so I can't say the ending was all that spectacular, but i…
  • It's by Trigger, the insane studio that did Gurren Lagan and Kill La Kill. If you havent seen either of those, you're missing out, they are amazing
  • The first Ni No Kuni had its issues, but I am ridiculously stoked for this sequel. Look at the detail in this art. First video, around 30 seconds, look at the stained glass windows on the right and the way the light passes through. You can see …

  • Just finished off Monster Hunter: World (PS4). Holy crap, so much fun. Definitely an early GOTY contender.
  • Lord Golbez wrote: » Persona 5 looks like a strong contender for the next GOTD, though with how rarely those come along, I'm not sure the staff would want to go for another Persona game. However, it did win GOTY in one of the strongest, if not th…
  • Macstorm wrote: » The Valkyria Chronicles over Persona 4 vote is what caused us to redo the way we tally our awards each year. That said, we did give Persona 3 Game of the Decade despite that. There is also the fact that all of them have scored…
  • Paws wrote: » I personally LOVED the final chapter of V3. I'm really excited to see where they go next with the series - they have a lot of places that it can move and evolve to. Well, they did write themselves Spoiler: 50 …
  • Just finished up Zwei: The Arges Adventure (PC). Cute little game, much like its sequel. Review will come soon.
  • Xenoblade Chronicles 2 (Switch). Wrapped this one up just in the nick of time. Almost 120 hours on the clock, sheesh.
  • VeghEsther wrote: » Spoiler: Well even with max level/stats Haseo's best and IMHO ONLY worth while weapons are his dopple ones and you can't get them with Cheat mode on and no you won't kill EVERY GU Vol 1 to 3 boss in 1 hit even …
  • Why would you need to doppelganger weapons when you'd be at max level for the whole playthrough, effectively able to 1 shot literally every story boss? this is easily the dumbest complaint I've ever seen about any game ever. If you cheat, you can't…
  • Just wrapped up .hack//G.U. Vol. 4: Reconnection (PC) via .hack//G.U. Last Recode. Hard to call this one a full game since its only a few hours long, but I counted the other three volumes already. Also, all four as a set are platinum too! I am …

  • And now .hack//G.U. Vol. 3: Redemption (PC) is complete, via .hack//G.U. Last Recode. Got a whole bunch of post-game content to take down before I jump into the new volume. Dual guns weren't as OP as I remember them being, but they're still pret…
  • .hack//G.U. Vol. 2: Reminisce (PC) as part of .hack//G.U. Last Recode. This volume improves on the first in so many ways, the most notable being the second job extension bringing out the best in the combat system. This was the first game I've play…
  • .hack//G.U. Vol. 1: Rebirth (PC) as part of .hack//G.U. Last Recode. Debated whether i should count these as separate or the whole thing as one, decided to count them as separate since they're still separated within the game. I'll review the whole …

  • After finishing Fractured But Whole, I had a strong desire to replay South Park: The Stick of Truth (PC). Definitely think the story in Stick of Truth is better overall, but a lot of the side stuff in Fractured But Whole is better. The environment…
  • Just wrapped up Zwei: The Ilvard Insurrection (PC). Won't say anything yet, but watch for a review on Oct. 31.

  • Just finished South Park: The Fractured But Whole (PC). It's a little less ESRB-pushing outrageous than Stick of Truth, but this is a relative thing. It's still 10 times more outrageous than anything else on the market.
