I have a copy of Jeanne D'Arc waiting for me as we speak. I *had* to buy it, considering that the only way I could be bothered to do my laundery would be to BUY A NEW VIDEO GAME. Not evenin kidding.

Last night, I played BIOSHOCK for an infinite amount of hours. It's so amazing that I don't even know what to say!

Bioshock is probably the best linear RPG currently available for XBox360. I really think it should have been covered by RPGamer, because anyone that doesn't mind a few headshots mixed in with their skill points and exploration would absolutely love it.

I can't wait till I can afford Bioshock.

Though I'm definately getting the 360 version. The PC version has some pretty horrific "copy protection"/hardware fingerprinting.

I'd say that's cutting your own nose to spite your face. If you're THAT paranoid, just don't make PC games. The 360 version is likely to sell more regardless, but especially so now.

I'm playing SMT; Nocturne right now. I'm madly in love with the game; the gameplay is nearly perfect, in my opinion ( except for the random encounters in town..). Experimenting with the demon fusions is a lot of fun.

Started up P3 tonight just to get a feel for it. Only played an hour and I'm sold already on it (loving the soundtrack and I'm finding the voice acting to be a bit less over the top than what I've seen from Square-Enix as a comparison). I'm now torn between this and Metroid Prime 2 for my attention. Really hoping Atlus localizes FES too. Oh yeah, and more Kingdom of Loathing as well.

Not gonna happen.

I'm glad there was an option to turn off voices in P3. More games should have that.

50k in first week US sales isn't too shabby for what could be considered a niche title.

Atlus is still leaving the option open for a FES localization, they've already stated in their forums that they haven't made an announcement either way because they haven't made a decision yet.

How is rune factory? My DS has died on the first part like 3 or 4 times now... I keep forgetting that I have it in sleep mode and it keeps dying.

i know you asked this of bain_nick, but for me, Rune Factory has been tough going. Not sure how it is with others. I keep getting status ailments and I'm perpetually low on money. Bosses are tough. I just finished the 4th cave boss after dying a bunch of times, and I couldn't really get a strategy out of that one other than hacking and slashing because he kept rendering me unable to run. Also, as it is with most of the HM games I've played, I wish there was more interaction with villagers. Think maybe I've just been plowing through the caves too fast and not really focusing on other stuff so much.

biggrin.gif, Yeth, it is.

Right now, I'm focused on 3 different games: Odin Sphere, Bioshock and Bully. All of which have been quite enjoyable to me. I remember Slayer saying something about Bully should've won some original game OST award. Totally agree after having played it tounge2.gif.

I just played a little Smash Bros. Melee with my brother. I was a bit off tonight though, so I actually lost a few matches to him. As much as I love Melee, I've been playing it since Christmas 2001 and I can't wait until the new game comes out.

I really need to start getting in at least an hour a day of Persona 3. I think I'm almost out of tutorial mode (did first level of Tartarus) and this game is so full of awesome for me. So I guess that means Metroid Prime 2 isn't going to get finished any time soon...

Metroid Prime 3: Corruption is going to have to take a backseat for a while.

Played through the first non-training mission in Splinter Cell. I'm starting to warm up to the game now, so the rest of the series is probably going to be on my console roster soon.

I also hit the ten-hour mark in Jeanne D'Arc. I just finished the battle at Tourelles and defeated Talbot (again). Now I'm getting ready to escort the dauphin to Reims for his coronation.

One thing I don't like in this game is the dialogue; specifically, there's not enough of it. There are lines that need more explanation; I don't know what Jeanne is thinking when she looks downcast and says "..." The game itself is pure awesome in a highly distilled form, and the leveling system rocks, but I can't help but feel that they could have done much more with the story. Anyone else playing the game feel that way?

Rune Factory is on hold, as is SF: Dark Mirror and Brave Story.

Also, Clix, your sig is making me want to play that game again. Actually, all of those games.

Thank you kindly, Good sir.

I'm enamored with the game by far. And that phrase holds all sorts of meaning now and is so awesome.

And Mr. Bubbles is just plain cool.

That line does that. I sort of spent the last week of my vacation replaying MGS1-3. The nice thing about them is that you can practically reach the half-way point in just one good day of playing.

Well technically this wasn't done today (more like four days ago) but I finally finished Baten Kaitos (the first game) after a long hiatus for playing Twilight Princess. I'm glad I gave the game a try. I enjoyed playing it. grinning.gif

As for what I played today, just a bit of Pokemon Pearl and some Phantasy Star Online Episode III.
Bravely second...
The courage to try again...

You see. I'm going to be on a plane. Heading to see my girl. I'm going to need to keep myself occupied.

I managed to get ahold of Rune Factory when I moved back to school. It's actually really fun, but the days are so long. I feel like I should be further along than I actually am.
