Hallum: Legacy of the Moon Slayer

Division C
Adele continued marching forward, undeterred. The energy field around her fists began to spin, faster and faster. Soon, each fist was pretty much a drill. She drew back her right fist and then slammed the drill into the barriers, easily destroying them with the combined might of her spiritual strength and physical strength. Farida took note. "Damn, that is something... Heh, this could be over quickly. Might as well help Adele finish off Romarh." Farida warped behind Romarh, moving faster than the wind. She thrust her right palm at Romarh's back. Through aeromancy, she gathered air around her palm. She stopped just short of a few inches from hitting Romarh, but the aeromancy fused with the strike barreled forward. Farida planned to slam Romarh straight into Adele.
Division D
Marie foresaw the storm, so she immediately said, "Beckon the Abyss. Tangible Darkness." She made the outer layer of her cloud of darkness physical. Thus, when the monsoon hit, she stayed dry inside her dark cocoon. "The musician will be in for a rude awakening soon," she thought to herself as she heard the waves beginning to crash about. James, meanwhile did his best to resist the incoming waves. "Optis. Eros. Psyche." He quickly applied his augment spells and focused his enhanced eyesight and aiming skills upon the levitating Riley. "I'm afraid I dislike the rain," he said as he fired his gun at Riley. However, he fired a spiritual bullet made of ice spiritus. The bullet was aimed at Riley's neck. It easily ignored the rain, piecing the strong drops as it continued to fly up to the rock star.
Jeane quickly drew off one of the rings she'd used as triggers for her stock spells, and activated another as she reached for the ground with the other two. Plunging her device into the earth she'd scraped aside with her foot before the match started. Field of snakes activated, and while more discreet, the ground could quickly be seen littered with over two hundred rings, spread about the stadium. Her trap set, with the three fighters now in closer proximity, centered immediately around Lobo and Nina, but spread across most of the stadium, with no true 'blind' spots remaining. After but a second's delay, Jeane's three previous barriers shattered, unable to follow her through her singulus spell. Immediately after she departed, the copied ring released the only six spells stored in it: six iterations of Yura Meku Honoo Bakuhatsu, the most immediately destructive fire spell. Well outside of the stadium, Jeane gave herself 8 seconds before casting the return Singulus, deciding to return to near where Vendetta had stood earlier.
Division A
Jeane's sudden attack brought the battle to a destructive close. The stored Yura Meku Honoo Bakuhatsu tore the stadium into pieces. Fortunately for the audience, they were being protected from numerous barriers. The entire stadium still shock as if a major earthquake had hit the area. The shockwave could be felt in the other stadiums as well. Pinyana, Vendetta, Nina, and Lobo were all dead, practically blown to pieces. Jeane returned to the stadium a second after the destruction.
The announcers were silent, until the mayor final spoke up. "...What is most certainly the most explosive move used in the history of this tournament, Jeane has annihilated all of her opponents, including the champion."
"According to the tournament rules, when such an incident occurs, the first person to die is considered the loser," Pearlie reminded everyone. "Thanks to their soul data, we have the results ready. The loser for round one is... PINYANA RAIKEN IX!!" The old lady screamed in surprise as she read out the slip of paper handed to her by the judges. The stadium erupted in shock.
"Incredible... This tournament could possible be the biggest upset in centuries. This concludes Round 1 of Division A. Please give us an hour for the medical team to restore the competitors before we begin Round 2."
A team of medics swooped in and began to apply treatments upon the severely damaged bodies. Pinyana's case was special. While she had the most armor, the armor did nothing to protect her from the explosions. Worst, the explosions had sent her flying back and forth into Nina's spatial slices, chopping up Pinyana in the process.
"What happened?" The detective asked his gun.
"That little girl I warned you about killed all of you! She took out the champion first and then you all followed! I TOLD YOU NOT TO TRUST HER YOU MORON!!!!" Dai Catarina screamed as she laughed.
"...yeah...you did.." Vendetta groaned as he fell onto his back, letting the healers work. He was annoyed at himself and very annoyed at Jeane for resorting to KILLING everyone.
"I SHOULD LET YOU KNOW.." the gun continued. "I GOT HIT BY THAT TOO... MY TRIGGER'S LOCKED AND I CAN'T FIRE. I CAN'T SEEM TO SUMMON EITHER.. NOT SURE WHY THAT IS, BUT OH WELL! IF YOU GET PITTED UP AGAINST HER, I'LL STILL HELP YOU KILL HER."
"I'm not going to do that..." Vendetta whispered, though due to proximity, the gun heard him.
"WELL SHE'LL DO IT TO YOU YA F***ING LOSER!!" Dai Catarina shrieked.
Division B
Luna was caught off guard as she tripped from the blood control. "I thought he could only do that if I was bleeding... Damn recordings." She got back on her feet and started to hunt down her pray again. She smiled as Janet's plants took affect. Luna raced across the field to catch up with R'lyeh. She hoped to protect herself from the blood control by forming a layer of Aether around her. She did not know if it could be used to defensively destroy the spiritus or not. She decided to shift her momentum into a flying kick as she caught up with the champion.
"That's certainly a frightening spirit." She thought to herself as the action continued to unfold. "Let's calm things down a bit though." Enrica extended her palm, concentrating on both the sky above and the spell she was preparing. Suddenly half the water shifted away from the group, rising into the air as a waist high pool remained below. "Counterseal: Aquaseal." Immediately a ray of light emitted from Enrica's hand, scattering through the lower pool. Almost instantly the pool vanished, along with Marie's cocoon, Jame's augmentation buffers, and the magical explosives. No sooner than were the spells negated though then did the floating pool above come crashing down from the sky in an almost waterfall like fashion. Again the stadium flooded as Enrica maintained her marlin form. The young merwoman stood at the center of the ring in the newly generated pool. Ever mindful of her surroundings, Enrica glanced behind her at what would have been her shadow. Thankfully the water was shattering the light enough so that one couldn't form well enough. "Good, that should hold Marie off for awhile."
Realizing that the dragon would likely unleash his spirit again soon, Enrica began twirling her staff above her head, causing the pool to shift slightly before it was turned into a violent whirlpool. "In one blow. I'll finish all of this." The merwoman concentrated her mana, absorbing as much as she could for the fatal blow. "Divinus Torrent!!" she shouted from the bottom of the pool, unleashing the combination as the entire pool absorbed the full force of the Divinus spell, spreading it out to anyone unfortunate enough to still be caught inside of it.

Division C
Rakurai figured that was what Eraclease would try to pull. At the last possible second, Rakurai reversed the polarity, causing a massive repelling. The knife flew back, but before it could pull Eraclease away Rakurai jumped on the man and wrapped his arms around the man. Immediately, his electrical circuit surged. Rakurai planned to literally hug the man to death.
Unfortunately for Adrastos, Counterslay alone would have no effect on the combination.
((Credit goes to Clix for abusing his own system))
Unfortunately for Enrica, Counterslay was triggered simultaneously with Revenge Aura, generating Adrastos' own combination. With the assistance of the spirit, the almost insignificant beam of light devoured Divinus, the aquamancy, and the remainder of Riley's water, all without so much as a flicker. It looked no different from a regular Counterslay, but it now packed the combined punch of the magics and spirits, in the form of heat and light respectively.
All of this information completely evaded Adrastos. As a dragon, he was already used to his Counterslays having no offensive effect, so his aim was casual, even lazy. He simply pointed the death-ray at the first person he saw, who happened to be ((randomly selected)) Enrica. As he did so, Adrastos gave a single "Haw," not sure of how he had just survived the merfolk's onslaught.
Division C
Rakurai was caught off guard by Eraclease pulling out another weapon. Eraclease was clever, not resisting the magnetic pull to stab Rakurai. As the katar was repelled, it cut down Rakurai's leg, leaving a nasty wound. Rakurai was not a fighter, so he had no coping skills. He released Eraclease and let go of his magnet spirit. He collapsed in a ball of pain, trying to nurse his wound.
Adele meanwhile fell face first. She saw the blood where she has almost ripped open Romarh's guts. She could not move her legs or arms. She stopped the drills but maintained her protective barrier. She saw that Farida was a right bastard and ready to take any opportunity to win. Farida did want to kick Adele when she was done, but Farida knew she wasn't strong enough. Meanwhile, Romarh had set up proper protection. "Well..." she mumbled to herself. She saw Rakurai almost down and Eraclease ready to deliver the final blow. She ran over, ready to deliver the crushing strike if Eraclease did not do it himself in the next second.
Division D
James was caught up in the whirlpool. While it banged him up, he was still conscious, and the whirlpool had saved him from being stuck by Riley's flaming guitar. Of course, Riley himself had been send fumbling nearby. "Come on, keep it together. Get one good shot in before he's back on his feet and in full form!" James tried to aim his gun, but suddenly everything went dark. Marie stood behind him, with her sword lodged into his throat. He had heard her whisper "Beckon the Abyss" moments before, hence the sudden darkness. He fired his gun in vain. The bullet hit into the floor, though it wasn't too terribly far off from Riley.
"It's underhanded, but this battle has become too dangerous to let it persist." She extracted her blade and fused into the darkness around her, leaving James to stumble a bit as he struggled to remain conscious and standing. Blood was oozing from his neck, and he was suppressing nausea. He tried to fire a Heated Shot at Marie, but he wasn't sure which part of the darkness was her. He was at his limits, and he collapsed to the ground, unconscious and dying.
"And that's the game, folks!" yelled Jessi.
"As expected of Marie. Not a single move wasted," remarked Dr. William.
"I guess she anticipated the amazing back and forth counters between Enrica and Adrastos. She didn't flinch for a second!"
"Yes. Sad show for James, but Enrica and Adrastos's combinations were extremely fascinating. This concludes Round 1 of Division D. Please stay tuned, as we will begin Round 2 in about fifteen minutes." The competitors were escorted to a waiting room for them to relax in for a few minutes, while one medic saw to James.
Marie excused herself and head to the medical ward for Division A. She was allowed in. Pinyana's arm laid on the floor in pieces, though the sword had avoided destruction. Pinyana was currently resting but was conscious. She was in the worst condition, due to the severe wounds that tore off her limbs and nearly beheaded her. "Hello dearest. No, please don't try to sit up," Marie said gently. She knelt before her daughter with a worried look. "I'm sorry. I know how much you wanted to prove yourself. I saw the video, and I can only guess what you thought. ...Nina learned spatial magic because of me; I never imagined it would come to harm you. It is my fault for letting you get caught up in a family grudge."
"Mom, how is Rakurai?"
"I haven't received word on Dicision C. I'm sure you'll know soon enough. I hate to say this, but I need to go. Round 2 will be starting fairly soon." Marie kissed Pinyana on the head and said goodbye. With another casting of Charon, Marie returned to the Division D waiting room, just in time to see Enrica returning from the bathroom pratically with the bathroom in tow. Marie remarked, "Good Gratu! ...Please tell me you did not take that water from the toilets."
Division C
Eraclease finished off Rakurai as she figured Eraclease would. However, the man's sudden ambush almost caught her off guard. Fortunately, she was able to activate zephyr form. As air, the knives passed through her. She became solid and screamed, "THE F*** IS WRONG WITH YOU?! THE MATCH IS OVER!"
"Eraclease has defeated Rakurai!" announced Kimber. "What a show. He's got some killer instincts, that's for sure."
"Farida could have been in trouble had this match continued," Digna remarked. "However, that's all for Round 1 of Division C. Please don't go anywhere (unless it is to buy food), because we are about to start Round 2!" A medic came to take care of Rakurai, and another went to help out Romarh's chest wound. Adele released her spirits, and Bound Limb was removed. The four winners went on to the waiting room to rest. While they waited, they were also shown the video of Division A's first round.
"Holy s***," Farida blurted out.
"I've see worst," Adele remarked. "Still impressive. Wonder if that girl will make it all the way to the Top 4."
Ill just make it count, thought the Auctoritae, activating his own time stop ability.
Even though he was still affected by Eycopfields clock-stop ability, the fact that everyone else was absolutely frozen in time made it so that the power was effectively useless. Lubel made his way over to Eycopfield. Once the auctoritae was in attacking range, he raised his Tractus Sword. Lubel knew his time stop couldn't last forever, so he unleashed his Tractus Sword's powers and refreshed the time stop in order to ensure no blind spot in the time freeze for Eycopfield to use his own time stop ability. With what was, to Lubel, all the time in the world, he made a powerful horizontal slash at Eycopfields neck, aiming to cleanly take the mans head off in a single swing.
