Carpe Fulgur posted the localization notes for the game to their blog. It's a rather fascinating look into the entire process of localization, even for a small scale operation as Recettear was.

I find this stuff insanely cool, to be honest. Translation is practically an art unto itself and its fascinating to learn the translator's thought process.
