Torment: Tides of Numenera Visits Its Ninth World

Alex FullerAlex Fuller Managing EditorRPGamer Staff
Torment: Tides of Numenera looks to be built on a rather different setting to most RPGs out there. The latest trailer shows off some of the more unusual parts of the Ninth World.

If someone told me 10 years ago that we'd be getting a sequel to Planescape: Torment with the combat system from The Temple of Elemental Evil I don't think I'd have believed them.

My one problem with the trailer: they've gone for generic character models, rather than custom models like the original Torment. Giving each party their own detailed character design was one of many ways the art direction in Torment was superior to the other Infinity Engine games.
