NICE! Excellent band. One of the few truly amazing acts to come out of my country :)

OT: "Burning Spear" by Sonic Youth. Their s/t debut where this gem comes from is hella underappreciated.

    "Africa" - Toto

I originally heard the version of this song by Olivia Luftkinm so I had no idea it was a cover. I kind of prefer her version better, but maybe I haven't heard the Toto version enough times.

If you haven't heard the original version of Africa much, you weren't listening to much radio in the 90's (when it was played every few days).

This makes me crack a fat grin:grinning: because, correct me if I'm wrong, but I've got you pegged as primarily a metal enthusiast, that or one of it's subgenres. And like eight out of ten times I get to talking music with a metalhead the cat's both aware of and loves Lynch. Which totally makes sense considering the lyrical content, the horror movie samples, and how the later albums have some way more intricate guitar samples than you usually hear on rap beats. But still somehow it always manages to surprise me a bit and makes me smile.

    And for today's selection

    It's A Man's Man's Man's World - James Brown

I like the mellow stuff in the morning.
