Hehe, wasn't it? I remember catching that video on some art-channel once and sitting up and taking notice. That guy's got a great voice. :)

And now, to completely change gears:

    "Winds of Creation," Decapitation.

Points go to this band for the fact that the guitarists are seventeen and the drummer is fourteen.

Haha, yeah. I'm an eclectic shitzo. You'll never know where I'm gonna go next.

Nothing repels people like death metal. Seriously. Ever want to clear a room? Throw down some crazy guitar shredding, double-bass pounding, gutteral vocal growling track and BOOM. Precious solitude. ;)

Those kinds of vocals aren't really my thing, but I find them easy to ignore when the musicianship is as accomplished as that.

And now for my next crazy gear change:

    "The Grace," Neverending White Lights.

    Good times.

Oh I agree. They really can play. Especially if they are the ages you say two of them are. That is some amazing drumming for a 14 y/o.

    "Rational Gaze," Meshuggah.

A little to be desired in the video quality, but that aside: this is probably my favorite music video. It is the very definition of surreal and really juxtaposes the lyrical content. Song is pretty interesting, too. :)

    "Wandering Flame," Final Fantasy X.

Let's hear it for the single most underused instrument in RPG-melancholy ever: the clarinet. I think this is probably my favorite "sad song" from the FF franchise. It's really understated and has a great ambience.

Agreed, Plug. Wandering Flame tops that list in FFX, but I also enjoy listening to Illusion and People of the North Pole for the same reasons.

Hajime Mizoguchi - Aoki Yami Nemurenu Machi
