Well, I wasn't expecting that much from Zoids Assault. ?It seemed like an out of nowhere game that Atlus just pulled out of Japan with little fanfare around it. ?I doubt that many people even pay attention to the blog here, because I was released a couple weeks back with just as little fanfare.
In playing for five hours now (yes, I'm slow, hence the reason I'm not an official reviewer), I have a couple things to say. ?First, the tactical gameplay is very solid. ?Battles are speedy and fun. ?The problem comes from the fact that at 5 hours I'm over halfway done. ?The game is just too limited, too few party members, too little story, too little everything.
It's built on a solid foundation, but there is just not enough of it. ?Expect a review shortly.

Not that anyone really cares, but I was stuck on a battle. I just couldn't find the right combination of parts and movements, but I've finally gotten past it. I'm only two missions away from the end. I really enjoy the battle system, but I just can't help but think that this whole game would have been better on a smaller scale system like the DS.
